Windows 10 – the new Function that Seemed Impossible

Windows 10 will have a new function that seemed impossible a few months ago, but which will make using a computer much more interesting in the future.

Windows 10 continues to amaze with various functions that the Microsoft company continues to announce for its new operating system dedicated to computers. Today we are talking about a new one that Windows 10 is going to have starting this fall with the Fall Creators Update, Microsoft announcing it last night, so it is as official as possible at the moment.

Windows 10 will allow users to use the personal assistants Cortana and Alexa from their own computers thanks to a partnership between Microsoft and Amazon. Windows 10 users will be able to use Cortana to activate Amazon's Alexa personal assistant, but also vice versa, the two platforms will be interconnected to provide more functionality for users.

Windows 10 will combine the functions of the two personal assistants in our computers not only in the key functions of the operating system, but also in certain separate applications. The presidents of Microsoft and Amazon discussed this ambitious project yesterday, the companies completing the function sets of each software with what each of them lacks, Windows 10 becoming much more useful as a result.

Windows 10 will allow users to control their homes through Alexa, something Cortana can't do due to the lack of support for smart home devices. Alexa has implemented support in many products, thanks to the ease with which everything can be done, so Windows 10 through computers will be able to control smart home devices in a much easier way.

Windows 10 did not motivate users to use the personal assistant Cortana even that much, and this is because of many shortcomings in Microsoft's software. Alexa has sets of functions that users wanted, but did not have, and thanks to Windows 10 they will have access to them and could give up the purchase of one of Amazon's products to enjoy the functions of the personal assistant.

"Ensuring Cortana is available for our customers everywhere and across any device is a key priority for us. Bringing Cortana's knowledge, Office 365 integration, commitments, and reminders to Alexa is a great step towards that goal. The world is big and so multifaceted. There are going to be multiple successful intelligent agents, each with access to different sets of data and with different specialized skill areas."

Windows 10 with this functionality could be more attractive than Apple's macOS, whose personal assistant Siri does not combine the total functions of the two assistants. Of course, Apple will never implement in macOS something similar to what Microsoft and Amazon offer for Windows 10 and their own devices, so we won't see collaborations like this, which are extremely important, any time soon.

Windows 10 is one of the most used operating systems for computers, and Amazon will have a lot to gain from it.
