We are talking about an iOS 11 GM that was published by Apple "by mistake", as happened more than a month ago with the operating system for the HomePod smart speaker, revealing many secrets of the iPhone 8 ahead of time .
iPhone 8 still has many secrets revealed today thanks to iOS 11 GM, so we are talking about a lot of functions that are confirmed for Apple's phone. From Face ID to the True Tone screen, or new video recording options, or the new design, iOS 11 GM confirms many of the iPhone 8 novelties that Apple fans have been waiting for for a long time.
Portrait Lighting – close to DSLR
Portrait Lighting is a new function that will be offered in iPhone 8, this will be an improved version of the Portrait function that Apple implemented in iPhone 7 Plus. You already know that the Portrait function applies a blur effect to the background of our pictures, keeping the main subject in the foreground, as DLSR devices do, and with the iPhone 8 Apple wants to improve the system, but it will also release it in beta version.

The iPhone 8 will also have improvements for video recording, according to iOS 11 GM, and here we mean an increase in the number of frames per second for recordings. More precisely, for video clips made in 1080p format, i.e. at 1920 x 1080 pixels, the speed will increase to a maximum of 240 FPS, i.e. a slow motion at a much better resolution on the iPhone 8, which many wanted since the implementation of this function .
The 4K video clips made with the iPhone 8 will also be able to be recorded at a better speed, i.e. at 60 FPS, and they will be played much more naturally. The size of 1080p and 4K video clips will increase when recording at these new speeds using iPhone 8, and below you can see how much space they will occupy depending on the format in which they will be recorded, HEVC being now introduced with iOS 11.
True Tone screen borrowed from the iPad Pro
The iPhone 8 will finally have a True Tone screen, the Apple company taking over the technology offered in the iPad Pro for more than a year to improve the new phone. With a presumed resolution of 2436 x 1125 pixels and an OLED True Tone screen, the iPhone 8 will offer a clearly superior experience for viewing content on the screen, with Apple's technology changing the color balance in real time depending on the ambient environment .

Face ID in the iPhone 8 there will be a facial recognition system that will completely replace Touch ID, Apple abandoning the fingerprint reader together with the Home button. iOS 11 GM confirms the name Face ID for the first time for iPhone 8, in previous versions of the operating system, the facial recognition system was named Pearld ID, so we know very clearly what Apple will call this function.
