Digitaliada - Orange creates digital laboratories in 30 schools

Orange, through the foundation it has in Romania, announced today the expansion of the Digitaliada program and the creation of 30 digital laboratories in rural schools in Romania. All these 30 schools will have fully equipped digital laboratories and will also have digital educational materials for mathematics and computer science, with 82 teachers already trained to use them with students.

Digitaliada brings to the 30 rural schools no less than 124 adapted didactic projects that can be accessed on the tablets available for students. 826 tablets, 31 laptops and 28 video projectors with projection screens will be offered by Orange for 3400 children who study in the 30 schools where the project is carried out, the investment made by the Orange foundation being considerable.

Through the Digitaliad program, Orange has so far equipped 10 rural secondary schools with digital laboratories and trained 30 teachers to use them. No less than 1000 students have enjoyed the digital laboratories until now, those from Orange equipping the classes with 270 tablets, 11 laptops, 8 video projectors and a multifunctional printer, so that the learning experience is a complete one .

The Orange Foundation presents in the video clip above part of what Digitalia means, and in the infographic below you also have additional information. Orange has invested over 800.000 euros in Digitaliada in one year of the project's existence and it should be praised because if the state is unable to help children to have an education worthy of 2017, there must be something to replace it.
