iPhone X – Applications Work with Face ID

iPhone X will have applications compatible with Face ID from the very beginning after the elimination of Touch ID, developers not being obliged to update their applications.

iPhone X will have Face ID implemented by the Apple company instead of Touch ID, and the new biometric security system should be compatible with the old system based on reading fingerprints. According to those from Apple, any application that has implemented support for Touch ID will also work without problems with Face ID from the iPhone X, only that the face will be scanned instead of the fingerprint to provide the functionality.

The iPhone X has Face ID available to secure the phone, but some applications will allow data from them to be secured with Face ID starting this year. Some apps use Touch ID for this now, but after the iPhone X is released, Face ID will take over this functionality, theoretically, without developers having to update their apps to provide this functionality for us.

iPhone X will offer Face ID support for applications, be it banking ones or those that secure personal data such as passwords, usernames, etc. Some Romanian bank applications allow logging into accounts using Touch ID, and the iPhone X will do the same with Face ID, the functionality being available in exactly the same way for applications such as 1Password, for example.

iPhone X – applications work with Face ID

iPhone X has implemented automatic support in Face ID for all applications because its removal would have left users without the possibility of using many functions. Apple has practically replaced the entire Touch ID framework with Face ID in the iPhone X, so everything should work exactly the same, only faster because the need to press a button for authorization is eliminated.

iPhone X has, through iOS 11, the option for Face ID to be implemented in any kind of application capable of providing biometric security, only that the developers are the ones who implement the support. By offering all these changes, those from Apple make sure that Face ID will be used from the very beginning by customers who will buy iPhone X from the company, many people being quite unsure about its use.

iPhone X will be launched by Apple in November, and Face ID will not be mandatory for use, but only an option to secure the phone. iPhone X will still allow you to use an access code instead of biometric security, so users are the ones who decide how to secure their phones so that only they can access the data available in them.
