iPhone 8 vs iPhone 7 - 4X increase in Performance

iPhone 8 has performances up to 4 times higher than those of iPhone 7, the difference being given by the different storage media offered by the company.

iPhone 8 it offers performances almost 4 times better than those of the iPhone 7 when it comes to writing data and almost 2 times better when it comes to reading them. I told you last night that Apple launched the iPhone 8 with different performances depending on the storage medium that is offered in each model, those with large NAND flash storage mediums being more efficient than those with 64 GB storage space.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus basically continue what we saw last year with the iPhone 7 series, and that's normal because that's how these storage media are thought, regardless of whether we're talking about phones, computers, etc. Comparing the iPhone 8 series and the iPhone 7 series, we can see that Apple has greatly increased the data writing and reading speeds for its phones.

iPhone 8 64 GB has write speeds of 257 MB/s, almost 4 times higher than those of iPhone 7 32 GB, which offers only 73 MB/s. In the case of the iPhone 8 256 GB, the speed is only 170 MB/s higher than that of the iPhone 7 128 GB, but for equivalent models the difference should be smaller, but nowhere near what we see for write speeds in the phone's storage media.

iPhone 8 good performance
The iPhone 8 64 GB also has writing speeds 500 MB/s higher than those of the iPhone 7 32 GB, in the case of the version with 256 GB of storage space, the reading speeds are similar. However, the writing speed matters the most, because it determines the speed with which applications are installed in the iPhone 8, with which data is downloaded, with which processing is done for editing files, documents, or anything else.

The iPhone 8 64 GB will offer much better performance than the iPhone 7 32 GB and extremely close to those of the iPhone 7 128 GB, so if you switch from either of these 2 models, you will not feel a decrease in performance. iPhone 8 256 GB will be faster in the tasks mentioned above, and others that require internal data transfer, the difference being large and measurable in seconds/minutes spent doing those things.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus both have these performances offered by the storage media they contain and of course you will feel this mainly when you install applications, they are installed almost instantly. If you have money for an iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus with a larger storage medium, think about whether it's worth the difference of 150 euros for the superior performance it offers.
