iPhone 8 – New functions, Limited in Apple style

iPhone 8 has new and limited functions in the style of Apple, the American company shoving two new technologies down our throats that are not widely adopted.

iPhone 8 it has new functions and limited style Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, the American company announcing them with "sources and trumpets", but the world will only be able to enjoy them under certain conditions. More precisely, I am talking about the new features of the iPhone 8 that allow the recording of video clips in 4K format at 60 FPS and slow motion in 1080p format at 240 FPS, both of which are offered only on the iPhone 8 series and iPhone X starting this year by Apple.

iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X will be able to record video clips in these formats only if you have activated the new HEIF and HEVC formats for recording. Apple introduced these new photo/video formats in iOS 11 to help users take pictures and videos that take up less space on devices, but don't have worse quality after compression, and now they're forcing us to use them.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have these photo video recording formats automatically enabled, and the new features for making video clips are available exclusively with them. When you choose to use the standard JPEG/H.264 formats, the options disappear, although other manufacturers offer them for their own phones in the most used formats, Apple exporting photos and movies in these formats after recording anyway.

iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X are the phones with which the Apple company will shove the HEIF and HEVC formats down our throats, although there is no extended support for them and although exported to email, Facebook, computers, etc., the pictures and movies will reach also in JPEG or H.264 format. Having said that, get used to Apple's limitations and way of working because nothing will change anytime soon.
