Apple Removes some AppStore Categories

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), announced yesterday the intention to eliminate some categories of the AppStore that seem to be no longer that important, most likely because the developers either no longer make applications for them, or the applications there are no longer downloaded by users.

Apple has announced that it will remove from the AppStore the subcategory Dice, Dice, from the main Games category of the AppStore, so that all the applications that were displayed in this category will be fined in the main one, but the applications will not be automatically removed from the Apple store .

Apple also announced the removal of the Educational Games and Catalogs subcategories from the AppStore, as they will be unavailable for selection from iTunes Connect, and the applications displayed in them will, as in the case above, be moved to the main application categories.

Apple has notified affected developers about this problem, so they know how to modify their applications, if necessary, or how to think things over for new ones.
