Here is the new Self-Repairing Screen, even if it is Cracked

A new type of smartphone screens are able to repair themselves even if they are cracked during use by their owners.

In the video clip below, we have demonstrated a new material discovered by Japanese researchers, which may in the future allow the development of smartphones with screens that "heal" themselves. We are talking about a special material that offers the hardness of glass, but also a regenerative capacity unprecedented for such a product until now.

Unlike the previous materials that could "heal" simple visible scratches on the screens, this new material can even repair cracks that would require the replacement of the screen. In the video clip below we have a short demonstration of the concept itself, but applied to a smartphone it would be extremely useful for many people.

The idea behind this new type of material is based on the idea that people need more reliable materials for mobile phones, but there is a long way to go from here to a final product. I have already seen many smartphones that have cases that repair themselves if they are scratched, but there are limits in everything, including when it comes to repairing them.

For smartphone screens, the situation will definitely be even more complicated because we are talking about a component that is essential for using a mobile phone. To be completely honest, I think that a screen like this will be extremely difficult to implement in a smartphone and the selling costs will be high, but everything has to start from somewhere.
