iPhone. New Cameras and Bigger Batteries Prepared by Apple

The iPhone will have new cameras and larger capacity batteries starting next year, but Apple will offer these major changes in segments.

The iPhones of the future will have better cameras and larger capacity batteries, as happens almost every year, but here we are talking about new avant-garde forecasts. The famous Asian analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that in 2019 the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will release a new TrueDepth camera for Face ID, along with larger capacity batteries that are needed to support the feature.

Apple has everything it needs to produce larger capacity batteries for future iPhone models, these being mandatory for the future TrueDepth camera that will require more energy. No one knows how big these batteries will be, but it is clear that Apple needs bigger batteries and not only because of the camera, but also for other components that it will change in the meantime.

For 2018, the analyst believes that the iPhone XS will no longer have an L-shaped battery composed of two energy cells, but only one, but how Apple will do this is not yet known. Moreover, the iPhone XS is going to offer up to 10% more energy for the battery that will be integrated in the phone, so theoretically we should talk about a moderate improvement in autonomy.

"We believe the adoption of TrueDepth camera for 3D sensing in 2017-18 will create demand for larger-capacity batteries. From 2019, we predict iPhone may adopt upgraded 3D-sensing and AR-related functions, and it will consume more power, further increasing demand for large-capacity batteries. We believe Apple's key technologies, including semiconductor manufacturing processes, system-in-package (SIP), and substrate-like PCB (SLP), will create the required space for larger batteries."

The iPhone X Plus could still be launched with an L-shaped battery that has 2 cells, just like the iPhone X, only that it should have a capacity of 3300-3400 mAh, the largest offered so far. iPhone XS and iPhone X Plus are going to be launched by the Apple company in September of next year, so we will find out by then all the relevant information about Apple's phones.
