iPhone X. Lower sales than Previous Models

iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus would have together recorded lower sales than the previous models launched by the Apple company on the market.

iPhone X, iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus seem to have lower sales than the previous models, if we are to believe the analysts who present a very gloomy situation for the Apple company. According to those from CIRP, iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus together would not have succeeded in selling any other series launched before them in the last 3 years by Apple.

Regardless of which combination of new phone models we are talking about from iPhone 6 to iPhone 7, iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus did not generate higher sales than the respective series in the first month of availability. Here we are talking about the sales from the first month of availability of the iPhone X, combined with the sales from the first month of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, so not a total from September until now.

iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus would have had a total of 69% of sales generated by Apple for the iPhone series in the first month of availability, the lowest percentage of all series so far. Behind them with 71% comes the iPhone 6S series, then we have the iPhone 7 series with 73%, and the best-selling series of all is that of the iPhone 6, which also brought a major change, perhaps even more important.

iPhone X. LOWER sales than previous models

In the case of the iPhone 8 series, we are talking about "buffer" products, which were offered by the Apple company as a backup solution, in my opinion, because the iPhone X could not be offered in the quantities desired by the Americans. iPhone X was released a month later than everyone thought, and when it was released, it was only available in extremely limited quantities, which only a month and a half after the release began to reach the demand.

iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus serial sales

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were nowhere near as sought after as any of the previous series launched by the Apple company, sales for them being weak all over the world. iPhone X was and is very much in demand, but Apple could not cover all the existing demand in the first month of availability, and so it would have been a little behind in sales compared to previous iPhone series.

Even if iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus had lower sales than the previous series in the first month of availability, although they came in a completely different mix of active phones, the money generated was more. The average selling price of the iPhone in Q4 2017 is expected to reach 800 dollars per unit, well above that of the iPhone 6 series.
