iPhone. Which models were the most popular at Christmas?

The iPhone had a Christmas with very good sales, but the list of the most popular models comes with a very big surprise for everyone.

I told you today that Apple dominated its competition in Christmas sales, its products being sought after by almost half of the consumers who bought mobile terminals during this period. Moving on now to a division of the popularity of the various models of iPhone globally during Christmas, well the situation is interesting.

According to Flurry, iPhone 7 was the most popular iPhone model in the week before Christmas, being followed by iPhone 6 and iPhone X in customer preferences. These three iPhone models totaled 44.7% of Apple's total phone sales globally, and that says a lot about people's preferences at the end of 2017.

It is interesting that the iPhone 6, a 3-year-old phone, is more popular than the iPhone X, and here the selling price is the main reason why customers chose it. It is absolutely not surprising that the iPhone 8 generates less interest than the iPhone 6S, but also that the iPhone 7 Plus has better sales than the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus.

"Despite strong launches of the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X — which made up close to a third of all new activations this holiday season — Apple is still seeing significant sales from their older model smartphones. This is largely attributed to the affordability of the older models and availability in markets outside of the US."

From the graph below, we understand very clearly the fact that Apple has some customers who are starting to look more closely at what the phones they buy offer, and the iPhone 8 is getting some due attention. This is what happens when you launch models of phones that should not be put on sale, and I hope that Apple will have similar figures to realize that they don't have to fool their customers with expensive phones without important innovations.
