Samsung Galaxy S8 – Major Screen Problem

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a new serious problem with the screen, customers have been complaining about it since the beginning of 2018.

Samsung Galaxy S8 has a new problem, this time with the screen, after at the end of last year a serious one regarding the batteries started to generate frustration among the customers of the Korean company. More precisely, now customers of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the plus model have started to complain about the fact that the screens turn on by themselves without user intervention.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has this problem in full manifestation in the video clip below, the screen lighting up even though a case covers it, including the proximity sensor in it. The problem occurs on Samsung Galaxy S8 phones regardless of whether a case is used to cover the screen or not, so everything seems to be related to the Android software used by the Koreans.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 turns on its screen by itself for 10 seconds at random intervals throughout the day, and this generates battery consumption that users complain about. To be completely honest, I encountered something similar on the iPhone as in the case of the Samsung Galaxy S8, only that the random switching on of the screen happens extremely rarely, not even once every few days.

Samsung Galaxy S8 - the screen turns on by itself and randomly

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Plus model are affected by this problem, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is, fortunately for Korean customers, safe from unnecessary screen ignitions. The problem is a new one, so it is possible that some recent software update for the Samsung Galaxy S8 has messed something up in the phones and is causing the screen to flash out of the blue during the day.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has these problems without Samsung talking in any way about a possible explanation for the bug, but most likely it will after analyzing some defective units. For now, there are no customers who have confirmed the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S8 units that have screens that light up by themselves have been received under warranty, so it remains to be seen what will be the finality of this possible scandal.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is at the end of its "life" as a phone from the premium range of the Korean company, and unfortunately we are talking about a problem that could cast a shadow over the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S9. To be completely honest, I expect Samsung to quickly solve the Samsung Galaxy S8 problems with screens that light up by themselves, otherwise it risks being accused of damaging these phones.

Samsung Galaxy S8 was not a great rival for iPhone 8 or iPhone X, and this problem affects sales even more.
