Google recently completed the acquisition of the division that produced smartphones for the HTC company, the Americans paying no less than 1.1 billion dollars to the Taiwanese. Those from Google claim that they will now be joined by an incredibly talented team that will help them develop new innovative products in the coming years, Google intending to compete with Apple and Samsung on the smartphone market.

Google bought a division with no less than 2000 engineers specialized in the development of smartphones, all of whom will continue to work from Taiwan for the Americans. The team bought from the HTC company becomes the largest one that develops hardware for those from Google, and this will certainly contribute to the development of important products in the future.

Google is not the first "adventure" of this kind, the American company buying Motorola a few years ago before selling it to Lenovo. Then Google's efforts to develop smartphones ended with a huge failure and a lot of lost money, but now the American company has completely different plans for its future.

"I'm delighted that we've officially closed our deal with HTC, and are welcoming an incredibly talented team to work on even better and more innovative products in the years to come. These new colleagues bring decades of experience achieving a series of "firsts" particularly in the smartphone industry—including bringing to market the first 3G smartphone in 2005, the first touch-centric phone in 2007, and the first all-metal unibody phone in 2013 .”

With over 2000 engineers developing smartphones, Google shows its intention to become extremely serious in the development of this type of smart mobile phones. Compared to Samsung, Apple, and other manufacturers, those from Google are far behind, as the sales of the company's products are still much lower than those of the competitors.
