Apple DELAYS iOS 11.3 Release and iPhone Performance Fix

Apple has announced the postponement of the release of iOS 11.3 and the resolution of problems regarding the performance of iPhone phones, disappointing many customers.

apple postpones the release of ios 11.3 iphone

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), announced that it is postponing the launch of the function that will allow starting with iOS 11.3 disabling the system that limits iPhone performance for phones that have used batteries due to repeated charging over time. Initially, the American company had announced that in February it would release this function for iOS 11.3 and global users, but yesterday it "nuanced" its statements and declared that in fact it will not offer the function right then.

Apple stated that in February the new function will be available to those who test iOS 11.3 in the beta version for iPhone, but the release of the final version of iOS 11.3 will take place only in the spring. This "spring" for the Apple company could actually be March, or even April, depending on how iOS 11.3 testing goes and how this new function implements its changes exactly as it should.

Apple DELAYS the release of the iOS 11.3 feature that fixes iPhone performance

iOS 11.3 will basically be tested by Apple for more than a month before releasing the final version for iPhone and iPad, without a release date for the final version being offered. Those from Cupertino do not want to divulge the date on which they will release iOS 11.3, nor the date on which they will solve problems for customers whose iPhone performance is limited by the battery, so we can expect anything.

"We sought to further improve the customer experience in December by announcing a significant discount on replacement batteries for certain iPhones. We also announced that we began developing a new iOS feature to show battery health and which would recommend when the user should consider replacing their battery. These actions were taken to further assist our customers and help extend the life of their iPhones. In addition, users will be able to see if the power management feature is being used to prevent unexpected shutdowns, and turn it off if they so choose. These features will be included in a developer release next month and a user release this Spring."

Including this postponement of the release of iOS 11.3 along with this highly anticipated feature had to be at least in the minds of some of those who are looking forward to using it to bring their iPhone performance back to normal. I'm sure that by the time the final version of iOS 11.3 is released, we will find out more information about the new version for iPhone and iPad, but we have to arm ourselves with a lot of patience because Apple is in no hurry.
