UBER announced an important change for the tariffs in Romania starting tomorrow, February 14, the famous taxi service company making the changes for the benefit of customers in our country. According to some information announced today by the UBER company, the fares for the rides that customers are going to make will be displayed accurately in the application and will not be estimated, as has been the case since the launch of the platform in the country.

Basically, UBER will show us in the application exactly how much the ride we are about to make will cost, so we will no longer see that estimate that the application for iPhone and Android has shown until now. The change implemented by UBER is meant to tell us exactly how much we will pay to get to a certain destination, and so customers will know what amount they will have to pay, without it fluctuating between the initially announced limits.

UBER announces changes for tariffs in Romania from tomorrow

UBER will use all the navigation data collected in the last 3 years to calculate the exact rates for customers based on the location where they are going to arrive. These exact rates will be calculated by those from UBER in such a way that they will also include: "the distance to the destination, including multiple stops; estimated time based on historical traffic values; dynamic pricing, when appropriate; and possible promotional discounts".

Basically, UBER brings to Romania what it has been offering in other countries for several years, but it says that when the rates will have a large multiplication factor, customers will be notified in advance about this. To be completely honest, I think UBER is making an extremely good change, especially since Taxify estimates with much greater accuracy the fares of the rides to be made, so it was normal to see a change from UBER as well.
