The Google Maps application was updated the other day for iPhone and iPad, and the Google company mentions in the list of changes the implementation of new icons for points of interest. What Google did not announce in the list of changes for Google Maps is the implementation of a new version of the bar with information about guided navigation.
In the image below you can see how the new bar looks like with a redone design, the Google company trying to offer faster access to various navigation functions and more. Google Maps now allows easier discovery of the locations where we are going to travel, or to quickly obtain information about guided navigation for cars, or public transport routes.
Google Maps has divided these three important functions in order to simplify the process of benefiting from the services that the application has available, before they have to be searched through the menus. In the Explore section of the Google Maps application, Google also displays information about important events in our area, or even information about the weather.
Google Maps has all these new functions implemented silently in the latest version of the application for iPhone and iPad and I recommend you to install it from the AppStore to benefit from them.
