Samsung Galaxy S9: EXCLUSIVE, FAILURE in Sales

Samsung Galaxy S9 has officially confirmed the failure in sales, the new smartphone of the Samsung company not having enough important news to convince the fans.

Samsung Galaxy S9 LOW Figures Pre-orders

Samsung Galaxy S9 today has the first sales figures provided by sources inside the Samsung company's partner chain, and the news is not so good for the company. According to the first information, Samsung Galaxy S9 pre-orders from the first day of availability in South Korea were 30% lower than those registered in the case of the Samsung Galaxy S8 series, so the difference between the phones is big.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 recorded 180.000 pre-orders on the first day of availability, 80.000 units less than the 260.000 units pre-ordered when the Samsung Galaxy S8 series was officially announced by the Korean company. The difference is very big, and this in the conditions where the most pre-orders are registered on the first day, the number dropping substantially in the following days, for any kind of company.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is not very profitable for Samsung's partners, and this is because, unfortunately, the pre-orders are far below the expectations of the company, which refuses to provide official figures, as in other years. This is a sign that pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S9 are lower than they should be, but we already have two separate confirmations from Samsung partners about the problems that sales are having at the moment.

Samsung Galaxy S9 – official, low pre-order numbers

The Samsung Galaxy S9 was tested by 1.6 million people in South Korea in the week before pre-orders opened, but only 10% of them pre-ordered the phone on the first day of availability. Samsung refused to announce the number of pre-orders it registered for the Samsung Galaxy S9, but provided this information for the number of units tested by customers, as if this figure would matter in any way.

"The first-day sales performance of Samsung Electronics Co.'s new flagship Galaxy S9 smartphones were around 70 percent of the previous series in South Korea. 180,000 units of Galaxy S9 smartphones were distributed through the country's three mobile carriers on Friday, lower than the 260,000 units posted by the Galaxy S8 series."

Samsung Galaxy S9 has been tested by many people, but its new functions do not seem to be attractive enough for customers, and for this reason, the pre-order numbers are so low. Even the analysts are of the opinion that the Samsung Galaxy S9 needed more important news to generate substantial sales, and if Samsung ever confirms the sales figures, probably everyone will notice the failure of the new series of phones.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 had a much worse start than the iPhone X, which generated huge sales in the first month and a half of availability, the estimated sales being over 25 million units, and that's also because the stocks were not enough. Unfortunately, the failure of the Samsung Galaxy S9 could have an echo throughout the industry, but maybe in the end this will force other manufacturers to implement more important functions in their phones.
