Company partners Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), have already started sending the first components for the new 2018 iPad models to the companies that will assemble them in the next period. Apple wants to launch at least one new model of iPad Pro in 2018, but also an update for the cheap version of the iPad that the company launched in March of last year.

Although everyone expected to see at least one new iPad model released in March, it seems that Apple has other plans, with the new tablets to be released later. The cheap version of the iPad is to be released by Apple until the end of June, while the new version of the iPad Pro is to be released in the second half of this year.

For the cheap version of the iPad, no major changes are announced, but only the implementation of a newer processor, probably a larger amount of storage space, and maybe more RAM. Apple wants to keep the price as low as possible for this iPad model, so it will not risk alienating customers by implementing changes that will increase it.

"Meanwhile, the upstream supply chain has recently started shipping components for iPad Pro upgrades and a new inexpensive 9.7-inch iPad - a refreshed version of its 2017 counterpart. Apple is expected to release the new 9.7-inch iPad in the second quarter of 2018, and the new iPad Pro in the second half of the year."

For the iPad Pro, the Apple company wants to implement Face ID in 2018, it wants to give up the Home button and make the edges of the screen much thinner, much like what happens with the iPhone X. The design of the case should not change for iPad Pro, and the price could remain unchanged, but we don't know anything about these novelties for now.
