Apple Music Hits a New Record of Subscribers

Apple boasts a new record of subscribers for the Apple Music platform, the American company yesterday confirming to the press the large number of people who pay for its services.

Apple Music Record Users 2018

Apple Music had yesterday announced the record number of subscribers that the platform has reached so far, Apple's vice president, Eddy Cue, making the announcement today. According to Eddy Cue, Apple Music currently has no less than 38 million subscribers worldwide, 2 million more than in February.

Adding 2 million users to Apple Music in just one month is an impressive achievement for Apple, a sign that some of their promotions are successful. The figure still pales in comparison to the 71 million subscribers that Spotify had at the end of 2017, the figure certainly increasing over time, as is normal, by the way.

Spotify was launched in Romania yesterday, and I confirm the data provided by the Swedish company, no less than 159 million users use the platform globally. Apple has not disclosed the number of people who use the Apple Music platform worldwide, but it is possible that in reality it is a much higher number, considering the size of the platform.

Apple Music still manages to grow quite "beautifully", the platform being launched long after Spotify, but the native integration in iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac helped its growth. At the moment, Apple Music is one of the biggest audio streaming services on the planet, and this is not going to change anytime soon.
