Google Lens, the Google service that was exclusively available for Android, is available starting today including for users iPhone, who are interested in using it. Google Lens is a service launched in 2017 by the Google company, it uses the artificial intelligence of those from Mountain View to identify people and objects in photos and videos.
Google Lens can also provide information about the objects discovered in the respective photos, in the case of others allowing the addition of entries in the calendar, in the contact book, etc. Google Lens combines functionality Google Photos with that of Google Search to offer users a new experience of identifying everything they see in pictures and videos.
Google Lens currently works only on iPhone and Android if the main language of use is English, and only if the latest version of the Google Photos application is used. Google Lens works on the iPhone only through the Google Photos application from the AppStore, so we are not talking about a separate application, but about a service offered through the Google Photos platform.

Google Lens is offered in a segmented way in various regions around the world for Google Photos users, so if you still don't see the function available in the application, it means that it hasn't reached you. The Apple company has implemented in the Photos application a functionality similar to that of Google Lens, except that for now it is limited only to the search for pictures that contain various objects.
