Facebook has in the applications for iPhone and Android software that allows the American company to listen to users and what is happening around them, according to Christopher Wylie, the man who revealed everything behind Cambridge Analytica. Wylie states that not only Facebook, but also other companies, have software capable of listening to what users are saying and what is happening in the environment around them, all without the user knowing this.
Facebook, according to Wylie, would use this software to improve the way it displays ads in iPhone and Android applications, all based on what we watch on TV, what is discussed around us, etc. According to Wylie, Facebook would not be able to listen to all user conversations and analyze data to find out confidential information about users, everything being done exclusively to better display advertisers' ads.

Facebook would reveal some of the ways in which it monitors users, but according to Wylie, it only reveals certain aspects of its activity, hiding the most disturbing ones from users. Facebook would be aware of what it is doing, according to Wylie, but would prefer to hide this so as not to wake up with lawsuits upon lawsuits, that is, everything that is happening at the moment almost everywhere in the world.
