YouTube today launched a new feature for phones, changing the way videos are played for those currently accessing the video platform. Those from YouTube started testing this new function last year in the application for Android, and now they started offering it publicly for everyone, and it is very annoying, as it turned out to be in the case of the Facebook company.
YouTube has activated in the application for Android an automatic playback of video clips on the main page where it displays recommendations and the most popular clips from the platform, starting the moment they appear on the first screen. Tests made by YouTube on a limited number of users seem to have been successful enough for the feature to be officially offered to everyone now, but many people will not be able to support it.

For now, YouTube offers the function only in the Android application, but it will undoubtedly reach iPhones also during this year, and the good part is that there is a method to disable it at any time. Android users also have a special menu to control how the new system launched by YouTube works, in the Autoplay settings menu there is a function called Autoplay on Home, it can be left active only when using WiFi connections, or can be deactivated.
YouTube practically allows people to disable the automatic playback of video clips in the main screen where the clips are played, but only those who know about its existence will be able to benefit from this system. Those at YouTube have thought everything in such a way that the number of views for the video clips will increase, just as Facebook did almost 2 years ago, but this will generate more internet consumption for everyone, but it will also reduce the autonomy battery until the function is deactivated.
