Apple Music: Record Subscribers and a new Boss

Apple Music Record Subscribe new Boss

Apple Music reached a new subscriber record recently, the audio streaming service available in 115 countries on the planet being used by over 40 million subscribers. The number of Apple Music subscribers is substantial, much more than other similar services, but much less than Spotify, which currently has over 71 million subscribers globally.

However, Apple Music has a new boss as of today, Oliver Schusser being promoted to the management position within the Apple company, he being subordinate to the senior vice president, Eddy Cue. Schusser was a vice president within the Apple Music division, working together with Eddy Cue for several years before entering this new role within Apple.

The new head of Apple Music would have seriously contributed to the finalization of the agreement for the acquisition of Shazam, as those from Apple are close to completing the procedure in the next period. The figure of 40 million subscribers is announced just one month after it was announced that Apple Music has 38 million subscribers, so the pace of growth seems to be accelerating.

"Apple Music is thinking globally as the streaming service officially surpasses 40 million paid subscribers. Today, the company announced the promotion of Oliver Schusser to lead Apple Music Worldwide."

Apple Music also has 8 million people who test the service for free for up to 3 months, almost 50 million people use Apple's platform at the moment. Spotify has 159 million active users, both subscribers and those of the free service, so Apple still has a lot to recover before reaching such numbers.
