Netflix, one of the world's largest video-on-demand services, today launched an important new app for customers who use its mobile app in their daily lives. According to Netflix, the update released today for the mobile application brings the possibility to see vertical previews of 30 seconds for the movies and shows available on the platform.
Netflix knows that people like to see a preview for a movie or a TV show before choosing to watch that content, so it makes their lives easier starting today. Basically, Netflix displays in just 30 seconds a summary of the essence of movies and TV shows from its platform, but for now the functionality is only offered on the iPhone.
Netflix displays these previews only in vertical format, so we will be able to see them as we normally hold the phone in our hands, and the interface covers the entire phone screen. The change is a very interesting one for the Netflix application, as it is also compatible with iPhone X, so the cutout will hide part of the visible content.
"Each preview is about 30 seconds long and presented in a vertical format, so you can watch them without turning your phone. The previews are shown like a slideshow, so if you see something you like, you can tap play or add to your list. If not, you can swipe or tap the screen to advance to the next preview."
Netflix offers this function in the iPhone application starting today, so you should see it including in Romania when you want to see a movie or a TV show from the platform.
