iPhone X HUMILIZED Android Phones Sales

iPhone X humbled the phones Android on sale in February 2018, according to Counterpoint, the disappointing sales being much better than those of Cupertino's competitors. According to analysts, the first 4 smartphones with the best sales in February 2018 belonged to Apple, namely iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 Plus, amounting to 12.3% of the total sales of smartphones this month.

iPhone X has sales approximately two-thirds higher than those of the iPhone 8, more than double those of the iPhone 7 and almost triple those of the iPhone 8 Plus, an impressive achievement for Apple. Comparing with Android phones, Xiaomi Redmi 5A has sales equal to those of iPhone 8 Plus, and almost 3 times lower, but we are talking here about the best-selling Android phone on the planet in February of this year.

iPhone X had sales more than 3 times higher than those of the Samsung Galaxy S8 in the same period, and almost 5 times higher than those of the Samsung Galaxy J7, the differences in sales being astonishing, if we also take into account the price differences. The rest of the Android phones in the top 10 come from Chinese manufacturers and are too little known in Romania, iPhone X having higher sales than the last 4 in the top 10, and almost as high as the last 5.

"Apple grew volumes a healthy 5% annually in the month, however, its market share slipped lower as the new downward curve of its product cycle continues. Samsung, also grew volumes by ~3% annually due to the good performance of the Galaxy S8, after price cuts ahead of the Galaxy S9 launch, along with the good performance of the J7 series. Samsung maintained its No. 1 position in the Handset and Smartphone sales globally."

iPhone X has low sales if we take as a standard the sales of the iPhone 7 series from last year, but if we look at what is happening in the case of Apple's competitors, then iPhone X can be considered a real success. Tomorrow the Apple company will announce the financial results for Q2 2018 and there will be many disappointed analysts, and the number of iPhone X units sold will not be officially announced, but at least we will know how all the models have evolved.
