Google Chrome Function Released PREMIERE

Google Chrome has a new feature launched for the first time for users around the world who use the browser every day to surf the Internet, the company Google trying to bring major improvements for user security. Google Chrome is the most used browser for surfing the Internet at the moment, and the implementation of this function will force other companies to offer similar security for the users who use their products.

As of today, Google Chrome has implemented a function that will show users a special warning when a website with an HTPPS certificate is accessed that is not registered in a public registry regarding the transparency of certificates. Those from Google have announced for some time that they will implement this new function for Google Chrome, and thanks to it, websites that want to harm visitors will be able to be discovered much more easily.

Google Chrome: Function Launched IN PREMIERE today

Google Chrome had this function announced in 2016, it was supposed to become active in October 2017, but it is only required now for websites all over the world. Based on this change, all those who issue security certificates must register them in these public registers for the transparency of the certificates, otherwise Google Chrome, and other browsers, will consider that all unregistered certificates are used for websites that are meant to harms users when accessing data.

"Starting today, the Google Chrome browser will show a full-page warning whenever users are accessing an HTTPS website that's using an SSL certificate that has not been logged in a public Certificate Transparency (CT) log. By doing so, Chrome becomes the first browser to implement support for the Certificate Transparency Log Policy.”

Google Chrome imposes this measure for all certificates registered starting today, and this is because certificate issuers did not rush to register the old ones, but most register the new ones. In this idea, the certificates issued until now are not taken into account by Google Chrome for displaying alerts for users, but all those issued today and not registered in the public registers for certificate transparency will be marked by the browser and alerts for them will be displayed.
