Google Assistant has been announced by the company Google 6 new voices for users around the world in a massive change in functionality that the Americans announced this week at the I/O conference. Google announced that Google Assistant will offer users the opportunity to choose one of 6 voices that they will hear when they interact with the personal assistant for any kind of commands run through applications.
Google Assistant has all these 6 voices created by WaveNet, a voice synthesis system created by DeepMind, a subsidiary of Google UK, so we are talking about technology also made by Google engineers. According to Google, WaveNet technology is capable of reproducing entire vocabularies using artificial intelligence and without too much human intervention, so Google Assistant should have a fairly natural voice.

Google Assistant should have all 6 new voices available in the settings menu for iPhone and Android applications, but only if you have installed the latest version of the applications released by Google. If you have the latest version, then go to Settings > Preferences > Assistant Voice, and there you should see 8 voices that you can choose from for Google Assistant, 6 of them being the new ones launched this week by Google.
Google Assistant will interact with us using any of the 6 chosen voices, so test each one separately, including John Legend's, so you will be able to hear words spoken, perhaps, by a familiar voice . Google Assistant has a very big advantage over Siri in terms of this functionality, Apple's personal assistant not being able to "speak" in languages other than those that Apple has previously set for iOS or macOS.
