Apple wants to launch a Beats Smart Speaker

Apple plans to launch a Beats smart speaker in the next period, which will be cheaper than the HomePod that Apple is selling now.

Apple Launches the Beats Smart Speaker

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), wants to launch a Beats smart speaker to be sold together with HomePod on global markets, or at least that's what the partners from Cupertino claim, again. The smart speaker with Beats branding would be sold at the price of only 200 dollars, 150 dollars less than the HomePod, all in an attempt to increase sales.

Apple is already in advanced discussions with those from MediaTek to buy components dedicated to this new smart speaker, the components of this manufacturer being very cheap. Apple wants to sell the new smart speaker at a price much lower than that of the HomePod, so it is very possible that it will not offer the same quality for playing music.

A smart speaker launched under the Beats branding could also be without Siri, but those who have HomePod can confirm that this would not be such a bad thing. Siri is the big problem for many of those who use HomePod, apart from some updates released by Apple, which have somewhat spoiled the quality of the sound played by the speaker.

"According to a new report out of Apple's supply chain, the company is allegedly planning a $199 HomePod under its Beats brand. While a lower cost HomePod has been rumored in the past, this is the first time we've heard it falling under Beats branding…”

HomePod would have sold 600.000 copies in the first 3 months of availability on the market, much less than what Amazon and Google recorded in the same period. What Apple wants to do on the smart speaker market is not very clear at the moment, but it is clear that a cheaper smart speaker is being prepared for launch by Apple.
