The calculation was made by comparing the selling price of the iPhone with that of the average monthly salary for 15 professions.
According to this calculation, the inhabitants of Zurich have to work the least to buy an iPhone X, only 4.7 days of a month, they are followed by those from New York, with 6.7 days. Considering that an iPhone costs over 1000 dollars, and respectively euros, it is clear that the average salaries considered are seriously above the value of 4000 euros, or dollars.
iPhone X: How Many Days Does a Man Have to Work to Buy It?
At the opposite pole, we find those from Lagos, who have to work over 4 months to be able to buy an iPhone, followed by those from Nairobi, Lima, Beijing, or Moscow. Even in these cases we are talking about substantial salaries, considering that the monthly salaries must be very close to the value of 1000 dollars.
If I had to give my opinion about Romania, I would say that it would take 45-60 days to buy an iPhone X with an average salary calculated for Cluj or Bucharest. If it were about other cities, the number of days would increase substantially, considering that the average salary for our country is approximately 2500 LEI, half the price of the iPhone X.
