Gmail MAJOR Function Expected by the World

gmail has implemented a very important and very useful new function by the people at Google, offering the latest version of the app after users have been asking for it for years and years from the American company. We are talking about a function that Gmail offers in the latest update for the application dedicated to Android phones, it was not announced by Google in the official change list, but it was discovered anyway.

Gmail has finally implemented the possibility to choose what kind of actions controls the side swipes made to the left/right by users when they want to control what happens with an email in the inbox. Until now, the Gmail application had predefined functions for controlling emails from the inbox, but starting today, users can choose from a varied range of functions that are implemented by Google.

Gmail has the new functionality presented in the image above, and in the settings menu for the application you can see that there is the option to choose what kind of function controls each type of swipe separately, upon activation. Those from Google allow us to choose between archiving, deleting, marking as read/unread, moving, Snooze, or no function for the inbox in the Gmail application, so users now have much more control over the application.

Gmail has not yet implemented this function for the application available for iPhone and iPad, but of course at some point it will be offered by Google for the hundreds of millions of users of this platform. Gmail offers this functionality after it already exists in iOS, but only for the mail application, and only with much more limited options, so Google once again offers more freedom for users.
