Digi NO LONGER has the FASTEST Fixed Internet in Romania

Digi no longer has the fastest fixed internet in Romania, those from RCS & RDS being surprisingly overtaken in 2017 by a surprise competitor.

Digi NOT FAST Fixed Internet Romania

Digi Net, the fixed internet service offered by those from RCS & RDS, was for a long time the fastest service of this kind in Romania, offering the highest speeds for downloading and uploading from the Internet. This is no longer valid starting from 2017, and this is because Digi was overtaken by Orange, the oranges being able to offer superior download speeds for their own clients, using Telekom's network for that.

Digi fell to the second position in the list of operators with the fastest fixed internet in Romania in 2017, according to ANCOM, the difference compared to Orange being a considerable one, as you can see. Digi offers average download speeds of 220 Mbps, and 200 Mbps for upload, while Orange offers 300 Mbps and 269 Mbps, so a difference of approximately 40% from Digi to Orange in terms of download via fixed internet in Romania.
