More precisely, the iPhone X Plus will have OLED screens produced not only by those from Samsung, but also by the LG Display company, in which the from Apple made a serious investment to secure a second supplier for such components.
The iPhone X Plus will have between 2 and 4 million OLED screens manufactured by LG, and the 2.67 billion dollar investment made by Apple in Korean shows the first results in 2018. Although the figure of 2 - 4 million screens for the iPhone X Plus is a small one, it still represents the beginning of a problem for those from Samsung, who are losing part of the orders from Apple, and will lose much more in the coming years.

iPhone X Plus was initially announced as being ready for release only with screens manufactured by LG Display, but the company is currently unable to produce as many components as Apple needs. Despite this, its entry into the chain of partners for the manufacture of iPhone X Plus components allows Apple to impose more favorable terms in the negotiations with Samsung for the purchase of these OLED screens.
"The first OLED screens from LG Display will be used in one model of the new iPhones slated for release this year, the people said. LG Display wants to supply all the screens for that Apple model, although it is not clear it can yet achieve that, one of the people said. iPhone X Plus is just the beginning for those from LG Display, the Korean company wanting to offer even more for Apple, and next year it could manufacture OLED screens for the 5.8 inch or 6.1 inch models. Apple would like next year to launch new iPhone models that only have OLED screens, so the iPhone X 2018 and iPhone X Plus could be the last new models that come with OLED screens, and the iPhone 9 the last new model with an LCD screen.
