iPhone 9 enter the "straight line" to enter the production process at the Apple company, the Americans already choosing the companies that will manufacture the new phone, those from Foxconn and Pegatron being chosen to manufacture including iPhone X 2018 and iPhone X Plus. The iPhone 9 will be manufactured by at least one of these two companies, and today we also find out how much it will cost to produce the phone that Apple wants to sell for $800.

The iPhone 9 is going to have a production cost of about 275 dollars when it is released, higher than the one estimated for the iPhone 8, but lower than the one we have seen estimated for the iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone 9 is going to use many of the components that Apple uses, including the iPhone 8 Plus, and here we mean almost everything except the processor, camera, screen, RAM, battery, and a few other components.

iPhone 9 will have a design that combines those of iPhone 8 and iPhone X, so it will have components from both series, but the screen will be completely new, together with the new case, Apple will also have other innovations. The iPhone 9 will have a screen that is 25 dollars more expensive than that of the iPhone 8 Plus, and in the case of the main camera we are talking about a higher cost by 15 dollars, this suggests that Apple could also use a dual camera.

"The budget 6.1-inch model would have nearly all of the same materials as the iPhone 8 Plus, and would cost about US$275. While a 3D sensing module and a bigger display would add US$20 and US$5 to the production cost of the LCD model respectively, its main rear camera would be US$15 cheaper than that of the iPhone 8 Plus.”

iPhone 9 is going to be launched by Apple without 3D Touch, as a very important surprise, and this would bring a $10 reduction in component costs, but overall the production cost will increase compared to iPhone 8 Plus. iPhone 9 is to be released by Apple in the fall, but probably a little later than iPhone X 2018 and iPhone X Plus due to problems with the production of 6.1-inch LCD screens.
