Google Docs: IMPORTANT function taken from Office

Google Docs has a new important function taken from Microsoft Office, the American company offering users something they have been waiting for a long time.

Google Docs IMPORTANT Office function

Google Docs is one of the largest and most used platforms for storing and editing documents, and the company Google implemented a very important new feature for global users. Starting today, Google Docs has a new function that allows checking the grammatical correctness of the documents we write or upload to the platform, Microsoft Office has had this functionality for a very long time, and now Google also offers it.

From now on, Google Docs will have the ability to identify any type of words written incorrectly by users, but it will not be limited to that, it will also check for sentences, commas, and not only that. Google Docs will use a system that will automatically translate the texts that users upload to the platform, these being checked by an artificial intelligence system that will modify the texts so that they appear in the correct version, from a grammatical point of view.

Google Docs has the new functionality shown in the image above, it is quite similar to what exists in Microsoft Office, but this should not be surprising for those who use the platform. Google Docs doesn't come up with a new idea when it comes to checking documents for grammatical correctness using artificial intelligence, but it can probably do it better than any other service currently on the market.

"Our AI can catch several different types of corrections, from simple grammatical rules like how to use articles in a sentence (like "a" versus "an"), to more complicated grammatical concepts such as how to use subordinate clauses correctly. Machine learning will help improve this capability over time to detect trickier grammar issues. And because it's built natively in Docs, it's highly secure and reliable."

Google Docs has all this functionality available to users who have business accounts, so not everyone will be able to enjoy it starting today, although Google will certainly expand it in the future. Meanwhile, the new functionality for Google Docs is being tested with those who pay to use the platform and its advanced features, and when everything will be publicly available, the functionality it offers should be much better.
