Google: SERIOUS ACCUSATIONS Targeting ALL Users

Google is the target of very serious accusations made by a group of researchers who discovered a practice applied to all users of the company's services.

Google SERIOUS ACCUSATIONS Target Users

Google is accused of tracking all the users of its services for iPhone, Android, and computers, and this in the conditions that the users explicitly ask not to be monitored when they use the company's platforms. Google has recently implemented settings to block the monitoring of users who access its services, but an investigation by the Associated Press claims that this does not really happen in reality.

Google, according to journalists, stores information on the locations of users who use its applications on iPhone, Android, or in some cases even on computers, which is a problem. Although users ask to block the storage of geolocation information, Google still does this without telling them, but even when users use applications that do not really need geolocation to display the information they need.

Google: SERIOUS ACCUSATIONS Targeting ALL Users

Google apparently stores information about users' location even when they open Google Maps, when they use the company's Weather application, or when they search on Google Search, although they are not related to any specific location. Google should normally not log any information regarding the location of users if they ask to remain anonymous on the platforms, but the journalists say that this does not really matter, and that everyone is ultimately monitored by the American company.

"For example, Google stores a snapshot of where you are when you merely open its Maps app. Automatic daily weather updates on Android phones pinpoint roughly where you are. And some searches that have nothing to do with location, like "chocolate chip cookies," or "kids science kits," pinpoint your precise latitude and longitude — accurate to the square foot — and save it to your Google account."

Google is accused here by American journalists for tracking its users, but what must be mentioned here is that Facebook, for example, does exactly the same thing, without telling anyone. Apart from them, there are many other companies that follow us in everything we do because they need that data to make money from us, and we know about Google and Facebook because they are big, but other small ones do things a lot worse.

  1. Instead of swallowing chocolate chips from the Associated Press, test it. It's that simple. After that we talked. Unbelievable how the world swallows whatever is shoved down its throat these days
