WhatsApp: BEWARE, LIE regarding a HUGE PROBLEM

WhatsApp is lying to the whole world about a huge problem that its applications for iPhone and Android have, and we are, unfortunately, victims.

WhatsApp BEWARE LIE HUGE PROBLEM

WhatsApp lies about a huge problem that shows us that not everything the big companies say about the services they offer is necessarily true, in the end. This week WhatsApp announced that the backups made by Android users in Google Drive are NOT encrypted, and anyone who has access to them can see the messages, pictures, videos, and just about everything hidden inside them.

WhatsApp made an explicit reference to Google Drive regarding the lack of encryption for messages, pictures and video clips in the case of backups, even though it boasts that all conversations are encrypted in the application when we use them. However, WhatsApp says that it does not have keys to decrypt communications and intercept messages, but it has others that allow decryption of backups that are sent to Google Drive, so it can access user information.

WhatsApp: BEWARE, LIE regarding a HUGE PROBLEM

WhatsApp completely lies to the authorities when it says that it cannot access the information sent by people through the platform, otherwise it would have offered encrypted backups in the case of Google Drive as well. In the case of iCloud, those from WhatsApp did not say anything about the level of encryption of the backups, but it would not be difficult to believe that the data that is transmitted to the servers of the Apple company would not be encrypted either, and could be read if the backup would be downloaded by hackers.

WhatsApp seems to have disclosed to the whole world the fact that, in reality, people's communications are not as secure as they seem, and that's for sure as far as backups are concerned, for now. There was also evidence that even WhatsApp's encrypted communications can be intercepted by hackers through various methods, but here we are talking about something different, and it will be interesting to see how the company will deny that it can access all people's communications.
