Facebook it starts to have real problems with users who were active on the platform a few months ago, more and more of them taking the decision to give up the application due to problems with data protection, and not only that. According to a study done in the USA on Facebook users who are at least 18 years old, 42% took a break from using the social network for at least 2 weeks in the last year, the problem being a very big one for the American company.
Facebook started a few weeks ago to have problems with young people who have become less and less interested in what the social network has to offer, but the problem now also reaches the mature ones. 25% of the study participants stated that they deleted the Facebook application from their phones, and although the study was conducted on a small number of people, it is still representative of a much larger number of current and former users of the platform.
Facebook is FASTER by more and more people
For several months, Facebook was at the center of a huge scandal based on Cambridge Analytica and the data taken by it without users knowing what was happening with their information. 44% of users who gave up Facebook temporarily or permanently are between 18 and 29 years old, 20% are between 50-65 years old, and only 12% of those over 65 years old deleted the company's application from phones.
"Just over half of Facebook users ages 18 and older (54%) say they have adjusted their privacy settings in the past 12 months, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. Around four-in-ten (42%) say they have taken a break from checking the platform for a period of several weeks or more, while around a quarter (26%) say they have deleted the Facebook app from their cellphone. "
In the summer, Facebook integrated a new system to control the way in which data about us is retrieved, half of the participants saying that they used this system to decide which data they want to reach the company. Of course, this does not solve the big problem that the Facebook company has, but probably those from Menlo Park expected that people would give up their platform in quite large numbers following this scandal, the chances of convincing them to come back being very small .
I've never used it so who cares? Anyway, it seems to me the most stupid thing that could destroy a generation. I hope that both the application and its master will disappear as soon as possible.
The master means the devil
Ciolan 1 year ago was telling me that if I don't have Facebook I don't exist, now he's acting smart because he didn't use it either
Everyone wants to be like me
Any miracle lasts three days, in two or three years Facebook is history
The mess of Facebook together with its censorious boss is about to disappear, we hope something else will appear in the next few years and this Facebook will disappear
I hope it disappears from all fb
