ATTENTION: WHEN RO-ALERT is tested in Bucharest

RO-ALERT enters a new stage of the national testing process, Bucharest and Ilfov being included in the plan of the MAI, this is when the alert messages will be sent.

RO-ALERT test Bucharest ilfov

E-ALERT is the national warning system in case of an emergency situation, it was officially launched last weekend together with a special website, ro-alert.ro, but also with information on the tests that are done in Romania. Starting from Monday, the RO-ALERT system was tested by the authorities to help people discover how the alerts they will receive will look, not through SMS, but through a technology called Cell Broadcast.

RO-ALERT is intended to be used through this Cell Broadcast system because it allows the display of an alert that also runs with sound, and that does not disappear until the user sees it and closes it manually. This technique was chosen instead of classic SMS messages because the user will be alerted by the phone through RO-ALERT until he sees the message, the sound being a special and strong one, the kind that will wake you up from sleep, if necessary.
