iOS 12.1 beta is compared in terms of performance with iOS 12 on iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, and iPhone 7, and from the very beginning a slight regression in performance is observed. iOS 12.1 beta starts a little harder than iOS 12, and in the use of applications you can see a slight slowdown, of a few milliseconds, for opening applications, but that's about it for now.
iOS 12.1 is offered not only in beta version, but also in public beta version, Apple company allowing all iPhone users to install the update in their devices. For now, it is not clear when iOS 12.1 will be officially released for iDevice users, but most likely we will have it sometime around October.
