iOS 12: The function that REDUCES Battery Life

iOS 12 has a new function that greatly reduces your battery life if it is activated on iPhone and iPad, here is what it is and how you can increase the life.

ios 12 reduces battery life

iOS 12 it has a new function that greatly reduces battery life on iPhone and iPad, or at least that's what I noticed on iPhone X and iPhone 8 after using it, so I gave it up without regret. I'm talking about the Screen Time function, which Apple implemented to allow iPhone and iPad users to monitor the use of applications in iOS 12 to know which ones they should use less, but not only that.

iOS 12 has less autonomy because of this function, and this is what I initially discovered while testing the beta versions of the operating system, my autonomy increasing unexpectedly after installing an update. I think that everything has to do with changes made by Apple, but I quickly realized that in fact I did not have the Screen Time function active in iOS 12, and my autonomy increased from charging once to a day and half, in a little over two days.

As for actual usage time, I don't know how big the change is in iOS 12, because I don't understand anything from the new calculation formula, but after installing the final version of iOS 12, I reactivated the function. The autonomy decreased, so I disabled it, and the autonomy increased, and I think the problem is based on the fact that iOS consumes resources by monitoring all the applications used by us, resources that would be more useful for using the phone, than for his monitoring.

I don't need the Screen Time function, so I have no intention of ever reactivating it, but if starting with iOS 12 the battery life will decrease, it would be good to do a test and deactivate it. Maybe you will have a good result, as in my case, or maybe you will have a bad result, regardless of the situation, I think it is worth at least trying to increase your autonomy in iOS 12 because you have absolutely nothing to lose from it.
