iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max collects complaints from customers who claim that they cannot connect their phones to Bluetooth accessories, or to car infotainment systems. We are talking about complaints that are limited only to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, not to the old models running iOS 12, so the operating system is not at the center of this problem.
The iPhone XS seems to refuse to connect to certain Bluetooth accessories, including car infotainment systems, or it connects, and then disconnects shortly after. The problem is starting to become annoying for those who can no longer use their iPhone XS phones for navigation, or listen to music in the car, complaints continue to gather on the Apple forums.

The reasons for the appearance of this type of problem are multiple, and the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are not the first phone models to have problems of this kind. Last year iPhone 8 and iPhone X went through similar problems, so it was normal that now we hear about the exact same thing, the problem that the Apple company will solve someday.
"I just upgraded to the new iPhone XS, and the Bluetooth on my phone won't discover my devices, including a Fitbit and a portable speaker. I set up the pairing with my phone and my car stereo and it works as it should. Inevitably I will get the dreaded "pairing failed" from the car audio as the Bluetooth pairing fails. I then have to delete the pairing from the car stereo and from my iPhone and re-pair the devices, after which they work normally...sometimes for a day."
Of course, nobody knows when exactly these problems of iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max with Bluetooth connectivity will be solved, but it is possible that iOS 12.1 will do it. In the meantime, we will have to wait for a possible release of iOS 12.0.1 to hope that the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will start working normally on the phones of users around the world.
