Facebook Lite is a new application that the company Facebook tests it for iPhone and Android, it being thought of as an application that takes up less space than the standard one. We are talking about a Facebook Lite application that should have even fewer functions than the normal one, to be able to have a smaller size, as it was offered in the past on Android.
Facebook Lite will have only 5 MB, so about 30 times smaller than the standard version, so it can be downloaded by anyone, on any phone, with any connection. Facebook Lite will consume fewer resources during use, both on the Internet side and on the energy side, it being thought mainly for developing markets.
Facebook Lite – NEW application for iPhone and Android
Facebook Lite is mainly aimed at Asia, Africa, or South America, where internet connections are weak and rare, the Android version being offered mainly there. The Android version of Facebook Lite is being tested in several countries by some users now, but the iPhone version is currently being tested only in Turkey.
Facebook Lite is brought to iPhone and brought back to Android after in 2015 the Facebook company launched an initial version of it, but it seems that it gave up on it, for unknown reasons. It is not known when the final version of Facebook Lite for iPhone and Android will be released, but we will most likely see it in the App Store and Google Play by the end of the year.
