Google Maps has a new feature in its iPhone and Android apps starting today, the American company offering people a change that no one could have guessed until now. More precisely, a few weeks ago Google Maps implemented a new function called For You, there being various recommendations for locations to visit, including shops, restaurants, and many other very interesting locations.
Google Maps has an update for this section today, with Google implementing a special button to track a location that we have visited, or that we want to reach at some point. The update that Google Maps has for users allows them to see when the respective location organizes an event, so we will know if the favorite store has discounts, new products, or the restaurant has a special evening.

Google Maps has over 150 million locations registered in the platform, among them many businesses, and users can receive information on the updates that are available for any of them. The idea behind this system is very good, and that's because we're talking about the idea of always being up-to-date, which through Google Maps we can find out about as easily as on Facebook, even if we don't follow a certain page.

Google Maps has this new functionality integrated into the For Your section of the application, so you won't be able to find it anywhere else, but the button Follow it is not yet available to everyone.
