5G. The HUGE business of HUNDREDS OF BILLION Euros

5G. Future mobile networks will be real "gold mines" for operators who want to take advantage of their popularity in the coming years.

5g billion euro deal

5G. The future last-generation technology that will bring you so many opportunities, and will make our mobile internet much faster, is a business worth hundreds of billions of euros for mobile phone operators. Mobile operators are relying on the popularity of 5G to increase their revenues which are stagnant due to the lack of important technological innovations for customers, but from 2019 things should change a bit.

5G. The first networks will be launched right from the end of this year, even on a small scale, and from 2019 they will start to be available in increasing numbers, so that in 2020 we will see a wider distribution for them. Analysts estimate that by 2020 mobile phone networks based on 5G technologies will generate revenues of approximately 260 billion dollars annually, an impressive figure, but based a lot on the popularity that the technology will have, in the end.

5G. The HUGE business of HUNDREDS OF BILLION Euros

5G. Achieving such high revenues only based on 5G-based services is calculated considering that not only consumers will use the technology, but also many companies that want to take advantage of the opportunities offered by these networks. We are talking here about industrial applications for 5G, about integration in the cars we drive every day, and about many other technologies that these networks can make much better than they are at the moment.

"Mobile operators hoping 5G will be the answer to declining traditional revenues will be boosted by new research which claims income from next generation network services will reach $300 billion (£230bn) a year by 2025. This can not only be explained by the new services that 5G will enable, such as industrial applications, connected cars and enhanced mobile broadband, but also because 5G technology lowers the cost per bit."

5G. In order for networks to be launched in increasing numbers, mobile phone operators invest tens of billions of dollars annually, a figure of 60 billion to be reached during the next year. The success of 5G networks is as easy as it can be to guess at the moment, considering the very high interest vis-à-vis the new technology, so it will be interesting to see how quickly the networks will be created, and how many compatible phones will be available.
