LG. The Korean company that has been supplying LCD screens for iPhone phones and iPad tablets for several years now, has recently presented a screen that everyone has been wanting for a very long time for iPhone phones. In the image below you can see how this new screen from LG looks like, which does not have a cutout somewhere, and which stretches from one edge to the other of the front panel, iPhone fans have been waiting for something like this for years.

LG. The Koreans are taking after the Chinese from BOE, which has been supplying cutout-free screens for a variety of Chinese manufacturers for some time, while Samsung has chosen to integrate cutouts into its screens. Those from LG are trying to return to the attention of phone manufacturers with these new screens, but it remains to be seen to what extent they will be able to produce these components in large quantities, sufficient even for those from Apple.

LG. Introducing the WANTED Screen for iPhone

LG. A screen that covers the entire front panel is all I want to see in the iPhone, and if LG is capable of producing such a component, I can only hope that Apple will not wait too long to integrate it. LG also presents a way in which a cutout can still be integrated into the screen to be able to have a front camera for selfies, but it is quite clear that a screen can be manufactured without such a cut, only that there must be interest for him.

LG. The Korean company has just been accepted by Apple to supply OLED screens for the iPhone XS series, at least 400.000 components could reach Apple for production in 2018. If things go well, then LG could also supply screens for future models of iPhone, but it remains to be seen if Apple will be satisfied with what it will receive, and if it will be interested in screens without cutouts, or with smaller cutouts.
