RO-ALERT. Here's WHEN you will RECEIVE ALERTS on your iPhone

RO-ALERT. Receiving alerts on the iPhone will finally be possible, that's when you will be able to be warned by IGSU on your Apple phone as well.

RO-ALERT iPhone

E-ALERT. IGSU's emergency warning system was launched in September for the Android platform, and I say this because phones with this operating system are the only ones that can receive Cell Broadcast type warnings. Regardless of whether the users are on Orange, Vodafone, Telekom, or Digi Mobil, RO-ALERT sends Cell Broadcast type alerts on Android, without the users having to install any special application from Google Play.

E-ALERT. On the iPhone, the situation was not and is not so simple, those from STS having to work with Apple to implement support for the warning system in case of emergency, and here it is coming. In iOS 12.1.1 Beta 2, support was integrated for receiving alerts through the RO-ALERT system, iPhone phones having three new options in the notification menu to control Government allergies that the IGSU system can send.

RO-ALERT iPhone 1

E-ALERT. iOS 12.1.1 beta 2 is the first version of the iPhone operating system that includes these types of alerts in Romania as well, and the image you see above was sent by a user of iDevice.ro. The integration of support for RO-ALERT in iOS 12.1.1 seems to be safe at the moment, and iPhones in Romania will receive alerts via Cell Broadcast when this update is available to everyone.

E-ALERT. At the moment there is no clear date regarding the release of iOS 12.1.1 for iDevices, but we will most likely have it available sometime during November, but not earlier than that. Until the release of iOS 12.1.1, those from STS will, most likely, test the compatibility with RO-ALERT, and if everything goes as it should, at the end of the year tests could be done for iPhone users as well.
