Telecom. The telecom operator announced in Q3 2018 new substantial decreases for receipts and the number of customers, in almost all its divisions, that's how bad the situation is.

Telekom. Today the mobile phone operator announced the financial results for Q3 2018, and it can be seen that the number of customers of mobile phone services continues to decrease, along with the company's consolidated revenues. According to those from Telekom, in Q3 2018 the company's total revenues were 226.7 million euros, 5.2% lower than in Q3 2017, and that means around 10-12 million euros, a substantial amount, even if annual revenues reach 1 billion euros.

Telekom. The number of clients of the operator's television services decreased by 1.4% and reached 1.45 million clients, revenues in this segment falling by 7.9% compared to the same period last year. In the same idea, including the number of customers of Telekom's internet services decreased by 2.8%, to 1.15 million customers, compared to Q3 2018, but in contrast, the number of customers of fixed telephony services increased by 0.5%, reaching now at 2.11 million customers.

Telekom. In terms of mobile phone services, where there are the most customers, the operator has now reached 4.6 million customers, down 2.7% compared to the same period last year. Telekom says that the decrease would be due to the elimination of inactive SIMs, but interestingly, the revenues from mobile telephony increased by 6.1% compared to Q3 2017, now reaching 117.9 million euros, so more than half of the total quarterly revenues of telecom operator.

The segment of television service customers registered a slight decrease of 1,4% in Q3 2018, reaching 1,45 million. n Q3 2018, the Telekom Romania group reported 1,15 million broadband customers (fixed and mobile) for fixed operations, down 2,8%. Voice users (including FMC) reached 2,111 million at the end of the third quarter of the year. On September 30, 2018, the total customer base of Telekom Romania Mobile was 4,6 million, down 2,7% compared to the same period last year."

Telekom. Practically, at this rate, RCS & RDS could soon overtake Telekom in terms of the number of customers of mobile telephony services, having more on the television and fixed internet side. In the case of fixed telephony services, Telekom still remains superior, but otherwise RCS & RDS is slowly but surely approaching third place in the top mobile telephony operators in Romania, and this after a very tough fight with the competition.
