iPhone 2019. UNEXPECTED Upgrade Prepared by Apple

iPhone 2019. An unexpected upgrade is being prepared by the Apple company for users around the world, here is what the American company wants to offer.

iPhone 2019. The Apple company is preparing an important upgrade for its phones, and this could bring us much better performance for the use of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and even GSM networks, but nothing is certain. In this idea, for the iPhone 2019, those from Apple are going to give up the external antennas made of liquid crystallized polymer, and will use something called Modified Pi Tech, and from a theoretical point of view there should not be any disadvantage after this change.

iPhone 2019. One of the main reasons why those from Apple would plan to make a change of this kind is based on the impossibility of reducing the prices for antennas made of LCP. Moreover, antennas produced with these materials are much more difficult to manufacture than those with MPI as the main material, and this change would give Apple more components to manufacture the 2019 iPhone before launch.

iPhone 2019. The transition to these new MPI antennas will not be done with the complete elimination of the LCP ones, and this is because Apple would like to use 4 of the first category, and 2 more of the second category. At the moment, Apple uses 6 LCP antennas in the iPhone XS and iPhone XR phones, so in iPhone 2019 the antennas will be mostly made of MPi material, and from 2020 the LCP could be completely abandoned for the phone antennas.

Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is out this morning with an investor note covering antenna technology for the 2019 iPhones. Kuo predicts that Apple will move away from Liquid Crystal Polymer antenna technology, and shift towards a new combination of Modified PI tech. Kuo says there are several reasons for Apple to make this change. For one, the company is said to have "lower bargaining power" against LCP material suppliers, while it's also more difficult to introduce additional LCP suppliers due to the "complicated production process."

For these new types of antennas manufactured from MPI, those from Apple intend to increase the number of suppliers, so that they will have more negotiating "power" to obtain better prices. Both types of antennas will continue to be used in other phone models, and will be essential in the transition to 5G technology, but for Apple the plans to provide support for these future networks are far from being realized.
