A few weeks ago there was a story from the USA that said that a series of mobile phones, including some iPhone, were destroyed after a magnetic resonance machine broke down and filled several rooms with helium. Well, based on this story, the youtuber below thought of doing a little experiment to see how real the story is.
Leaving the phones in helium for over 1 minute, the iPhone 8 was the first to succumb to the gas, but the iPhone XS and iPhone XR survived without problems in the same conditions. The iPhone 8 died completely due to exposure to helium gas, the problem itself being very interesting, especially since it does not affect the newer models of Apple phones.
The problem seems to be related to the oscillator of the phones, which is used to indicate the time, the old models have crystal ones, but the new ones have electromechanical ones, so they should not be affected. On the other hand, the sudden "death" of the phones is only temporary, because after a few days of "quietness" they turn on again, without any problem.
