iPhone. Expectations for the 2019 models are very high among fans, but unfortunately today comes bad news regarding the news that Apple wants to implement for them. More precisely, Apple sources claim that the implementation of 5G connectivity in iPhones will not take place from 2019, but only from 2020, Americans wanting to wait for enough mobile phone networks to be launched globally.

iPhone. This decision will limit the performance of phones in terms of download speeds that can be reached by users, and in Europe, including Romania, this means that we will not be able to enjoy the first 5G networks. In Romania, it is expected that the first 5G networks will be launched in 2020, most likely at the beginning of the year, but the iPhone models that will be launched in 2019 will not be able to connect to them, so we will not be able to use them.

iPhone. BAD news for 2019 Models

iPhone. Apple acted in the same way including in the case of the launch of 3G and 4G networks, preferring not to offer support for these technologies from the very beginning, and to wait for the networks to become available on a wider scale before implementing the technologies. The bigger problem is that Apple could decide to initially offer limited support for 5G networks in the iPhone, and countries like Romania may not have the opportunity to use them, but everything depends on how the modems for phones will be thought.

Apple Inc. plans to hold off until at least 2020 before offering an iPhone that can connect to the next generation of high-speed phone services coming next year. The delay may make it easier for rivals like Samsung Electronics Co. to win over consumers to phones that connect to 5G networks, which will provide a leap forward in mobile data speeds when they are introduced in 2019.

iPhone. So far we've heard a few rumors suggesting that 5G networks are not a priority right now for Apple, and this shouldn't come as a surprise, because everything matches what we've seen in the past. Basically, if you want to test the first 5G networks, you will have to turn to Android phones starting next year, but if you are patient, then maybe in 2020 we will be able to use the 5G networks in Romania on the iPhone as well.
